Alright, so it’s been a few weeks since I posted. I wanted to post a few pictures of Salem and I’s weekend trip to Ottawa in January but I have yet to get around to it – no surprises there! I can be so lazy!

I haven’t totally been keeping up with my art projects but I did find some really good resources and carry around my art stuff with me. Sometimes I get 10-15 minutes of sketching in a day, sometimes I have a few days where I get nothing in.

I’m also back on the healthy eating wagon and, as of tonight, Salem and I are going back to the gym! We’ve decided to try out a new place, maybe that’s what we need to keep us going. We visited quite a few gyms over the last week – some were good but had some cons, others just… well, lets just say that pictures can be very deceiving.

I’ve also decided to give an alternative treatment a try to help me attain my goals and I might go all “new age/granola” and try even more things to motivate myself to attain health, personal and religious goals. It seems it’s easy to lose track of your goals and just concentrate on the smaller things that really don’t matter in the end.

Now, lets get on to some fun stuff. FOOD PORN!!!!

I will be trying to do more of a “FLOG” (aka food log/blog) for the lunches I bring to work. Thankfully, I have access to a microwave (although it takes forever to heat things up) so this helps me in the things I can bring along. I’ll also try to include recipes to accompany the entries.

Turkey and quinoa meatloaf with steamed broccoli
I actually didn’t come up or change this recipe as it was the first time I made this. Here is the original recipe. On my first try, I quite liked it. I might want to do a few small changes here and there next time but I really can’t complain. Salem has yet to try it and I am a bit worried as he is not a fan of turkey (unless it’s freshly carved). I will admit, I’m a bit picky about my ground turkey as well. But this one, I will be making it again for myself.
